Lange wandeling

Finally some time for me

Well tax time is over and I think I am done again for this year.  I was in Calgary for a few days last weekend but came back Tuesday with a car loaded full of stuff from our house in Calgary.  Yes we have to make sure we move everything out by the middle of May so we take a load with us every time we go.  But before I could get to unloading my car I had to work on a couple of more tax returns as April 30 is our deadline.

But I am done so I can relax again.  Today I went for my walk and the weather was fantastic.  Sunshine and hardly any wind.  I took my camera with me so I could share some of what I got to see on my walk.

I started out by taking a picture of the blooming willow bush remember I showed you pictures of the pussy willows a while back well here the are blooming, actually almost finished blooming.

And this is a close up of the flower.

On I went for my walk and met this lovely creature. 

This is Tippie.  She is the dog of the neighbour on the corner of our street.  The dog is pretty old, deaf and I don't think she sees to well.  She would not sit for me ( I don't think she heard me) so I did not get a very good picture of her.

On I went again to meet this lovely couple.  

They were totally in love and making all kinds of love calls and love flights.  I had to sit down for a while for them to come back to their nest but it was a pleasure just to watch their courting flights.

On I went again and on the way back I just had to take a picture of the view.

Yes the Rocky Mountains covered in snow.  As you can see no leaves on our trees as yet and the white in the front is the frozen lake.

I really enjoyed my walk and when I got back I started to unload my car and empty the boxes I had brought back with me from Calgary.

Now I have one more picture for you.  Earlier this week the Pileated Woodpecker came to our tree to eat.  Actually both the male and female have been here everyday this last week and at times they even come together.  So out came my camera and I sat here taking pictures of the pair.  This is a picture of a male Pileated Woodpecker and his red cap is really red and beautiful.  The female cap is not as big and not as red.

Speed Scrap here I come!!!

I did another Speed Scrap last night and because I am still working on my 'ME' album I made the scrap about me.

Else stuurde me acetaat papier en liet me zien

hoe ermee te werken. Ook een blad met

gouden plak vlinders.Dit is mijn eerste resultaat.

Deze foto hoort er eigenlijk niet bij, maar

ik vind de roos in, een mooie combinatie

Back Again

Here I am back again with more pictures.  I was reading on how to make pictures with a dark background.  I was pretty pleased with these results.  No these flowers were not growing outside but inside in a vase.  My husband bought them yesterday to celebrate that the primary plans to our new addition have been approved.

Now for the photos

Both these photos were taken with a flash.  I had a black piece of card stock behind the photo and a light on  either side.  I am quite pleased with the end result. I think the flower is some kind of a lily.

And this is April 5

Yes this is what I woke up to this morning.  These pictures were taken around 7 in the morning.  It started to snow lightly last night but I guess it got heavier during the night.  It is still snowing lightly.

This is looking from our door onto our deck.  The red/pink ribbon is the surveying ribbon to tell us where our lot starts or ends.  Depending on how you look at it.

 This tells you a little as to how much snow fell overnight. I would estimate at around 15cm.

The poor birds first have to clear the snow before they can get at their food.  Ah well there are enough of them so it should not be to hard to get it all cleared.  If they all do a little bit.  Vele handen maken licht werk.

And this is a view from our front window.  This path leads to the lake I don't think we will take a trip on it today.

Now these pictures can be called SOFT as was our prompt for April 3 for our 365 + 1.  A bit late but then I can't tell it to snow when I want it to so I can take pictures of "SOFT" items.

It is now 8 in the morning and it is getting pretty bright out there.  May we may get some sunshine yet.  Which will mean I have to go out and take more pictures of course.

Well after Jeanne posted her card I better place mine as well.

As you can tell we both had to work from a sketch and we also had the same stamp set to work with.  Jeanne used the bigger stamps and I used the smaller ones.

This is the sketch we worked from.

We have a creative license to interpret the sketch to make it work for us.

Net in bloei, nu al aan het uitvallen.

Of is het strooien?

Eindelijk is ook mijn kaart af.

Niet duidelijk, maar rechtse bloempje is goudkleurig,

de vlindertjes en de andere bloemen, hebben

wat glitter.

Ze staan net 2 dagen binnen en nu alweer open.

Pasen halen ze niet, maar nu vast wat fleur in huis.
