Speaking about birds

This is not a nest but a Purple Finch which comes and visits our feeders.  I was intrigued by the colours of the bird.  These are 2 different pictures of the same bird taken on the same day but at a different time.  Not a lot of time difference but as you can see one is without sun and the second one is with evening sun.

Last Sunday we went for a visit at the farm and they have fish ponds in their yard but guess who else likes the fish pond!  I put this picture in because of the ugly light right smack in the middle of the picture.  It keeps in tune with the colours of the bird.

I guess I will have to go back to the farm and take the picture again.  The dog really likes to swim in these ponds and look at the fish.  She has not tried to catch them as yet but then you never know.
