This is what I was looking at while talking to Jeanne

Amazing what a person can see while talking on a the computer (skype) with a friend across the ocean.  A Flicker.  He was sitting on a tree right across from me and gave me lots and lots of opportunity to take pictures of him.

This is a male Northern Flicker (Gouden Grondspecht) and was sitting very patient to see if it was safe to fly down and get some food.  I took many more pictures than just this one but it would be boring to see all of them.

The next one will show you what he was after.

After a while he flew away but came back and sat on the same branch again.  Making sure all was safe and finally came down to the feeder and had a good meal.

Time to show one or two of my photos

These are some of the photos I have taken the last couple of days.  I am working on the 365+1 photos which means I take photos every day according to an 'inspiration' and pick out the best one for the day.  I hope to make a photo album out of the 365+1 photos by the end of this year.

As you can see we have to look after ourselves, chocolate just in case you thought the oats were for us, our cats the Luv treats and the deer.  We hope these two bags will be enough for the rest of this winter for our deer.
