This truck will pump the cement through a big tube to where you want it.
Cement from the cement is poured into a bucket at the back of the pumper truck. It then gets pumped through the pipe to the dump site.
First they have to 'anchor' the truck for stability. The red arms sticking out of the truck just behind the cap. Then they extend the pipe into the air, turn it and stretch it to reach in front of the truck.
Here you see the 'arm' stretched out and turned around.
The driver of the truck is now attaching a hose to the end of the arm which will then be hung above the floor which needs to be filled.
The arm is pulled back up so that the hose can 'hang' free and moved by the workers.
Time to start now. The person holding the hose has rubber boots on but the rest of the boys just have their work boots and at times they are up to their ankles in cement. Something you will see in some of the other photos. They were to pour four inches of cement for the floor.
As you can tell the cement comes out pretty fast and it took all of them to spread it around.
Here you see the cement coming out of the hose. Notice the work boots?
It took a pretty big trowel to smooth it all out.
Getting near the end of it all.
Again they use plank to smooth it all out. See the guy in the rubber boots? The cement is up to his ankles.
All done! All we have to do now is wait for the floor to dry so we can start building again.
